Abstract: Some 20 students were taught to sing and simultaneously accompany themselves on the piano using remote, non-face-to-face lessons assisted by the use of DVDs of model performances. The students' performances before and after the lessons were compared and analyzed. The analysis indicated general improvements in many points on which advice had been given by the instructor. It also revealed that those students who had developed a good appreciation of their own performance, from the combination of the instructor's advice and the model performances, had made dramatic progress. However, it was also found that in certain respects these remote, non-face-to-face lessons were not fully effective. To ensure the quality of the learning of simultaneous piano playing and singing, it is necessary to improve the non-face-to-face instruction method, complement it with face-to-face lessons, help students develop their performance image and develop a better appreciation of music from the model performance, help them check their fingering from e-learning material (annotated musical scores) , give improved advice on singing, and update the e-learning material periodically.
模範演奏DVDの視聴を併用したピアノ弾き歌いの遠隔・非対面指導を20余名の学生に実施し,指導前後の演奏を比較分析したところ,遠隔指導者が助言を与えた演奏の多くに改善が見られた。また,助言の内容と模範演奏DVD視聴とを組み合わせて,自身の演奏に気づきが生じた学生にめざましい進歩が見られることも明らかになった。一方,遠隔・非対面指導では改善が見られない事柄も判明し,ピアノ実技ブレンディッド・ラーニングの質保証のためには,非対面助言の方法の工夫,対面レッスンとの相互補完,eラーニング教材の模範演奏を視聴することによるイメージ形成と音の確認,注釈付楽譜による指づかいの確認,eラーニング教材の定期的更新などが必要であるという結論に至った。
