警備保障産業の事業システム : セコムの事例

Abstract

本稿の目的は、「水と安心はタダ」と言われるような日本の中で、戦後急速に伸びた警備保障産業業界第1位のセコム株式会社の事業システムの特徴について考察することである。セコムの歴史や新商品の開発の経緯、そして海外展開の事例から、その事業システムとして、①機械警備という事業の仕組みの模倣困難性、②レンタル方式によるキャッシュフロー、③いつでもどこでもセコムらしい行動をとり顧客の信頼にこたえる社員育成を可能にする行動規範と理念の共有、④社会の変化を予測し正しさの追求による新規事業の立ち上げと市場の創出、という4つの特徴があることが明らかになった。

On this paper, we study the feature of the business case of SECOM which has led the Japanese security service industry that has made great progress since this 50 years as a pioneer in this field. In this study, we found four features from investigating the history of SECOM, the circumstances behind the development of new products, and a case of the advance into Chinese market; its difficulty of imitation as a structure of the centralized security system, creating cash flow by rental system, guidance of models and principles, and creating new market.
