Abstract: 本稿は、京都女子大学現代社会学部を2008年3月に卒業した4回生の、就職活動のプロセスと結果について、質問紙調査を元に解明する。具体的には、諸活動の開始時期や活動量について記述した上で、就職活動期間と最初の内定獲得時期の規定要因を明らかにする。先行研究が明らかにしてきた構造的・関係的要因と人的資本論的要因は、中堅女子大学の学生の場合、どのような影響力をもつのか。得られた知見は次の5点である : (1) 時間的側面から見た平均像は、3回生の11月頃に就活支援サイトに登録、12月に企業セミナー・会社説明会へ参加、というかたちで始まって、4回生の5月中旬に最初の内定獲得、6月上旬に4月以降勤務先の内定獲得と、約7ヶ月の活動、(2) 活動量から見た平均像は、エントリーシート送付企業数21社、説明会参加社数25~26社、筆記試験受験企業数12社強、面接受験企業数11社、会ったOB・OGの数1.3人(0人は全体の6 割)、内(々)定企業数2社強、(3) 「下宿・寮→独居・寮から通勤」の学生は、「自宅→親元から通勤」の学生と比べて、活動期間が有意に1.5ヶ月短くなっており、最初の内定獲得時期が有意に1.5ヶ月早い、(4) 総合職の学生は一般職の学生と比べて、活動期間が有意に1.2ヶ月長い、(5) OB・OGに会った学生は会わなかった学生と比べて、最初の内定獲得時期が有意に1.5ヶ月早い。以上に基づく理論的含意は、(1) 人的資本としての生活力・自活力の重要性、(2) OB・OG接触の重要性、(3) 買い手市場下の調査の必要性、の3点。実践的示唆は、(1) 3 回生前期までと4 回生後期の教育のさらなる徹底、(2) OB・OGに会うべしという助言、(3) 総合職志望者への適切な配慮、の3点である。
The purpose of this paper is (1) to describe the process and result of job search of the students who graduated from the Faculty for the Study of Contemporary Society, Kyoto Women's University in March, 2008 and (2) to identify the factors of both the length of the job search and the timing of the first "naitei (unofficial decision)", from the analysis of the quantitative data. The following are the findings : (1) from the temporal aspect, the average is; register in job search support sites in Nov. 2006 → attend seminars in Dec. 2006 → take the first naitei in May 2007 → take the naitei she finally decided to go in June 2007, then the length is about 7 months, (2) from the quantitative aspect, the average is; entry sheets = 21 firms, seminar attendance = 25 to 26 firms, writing exam. = 12 firms, interview = 12 firms, OB/OG they met = 1.3 persons, na(nai)tei = 2 firms, (3) the length of job search of "living alone or dorm. → living alone or dorm." type is 1.5 months shorter and their timing of the first naitei is also 1.5 months earlier than those of "living with their parents → living with their parents" type, (4) the length of job search of sougou-shoku is 1.2 months longer than that of ippan-shoku, (5) the timing of the first naitei of the students who met OB/OG is 1.5 months earlier than that of the students who did not. Theoretical implications are (1) the importance of independence as human capital, (2) the importance of meeting OB/OG, (3) the need of further research under loose labor markets. Practical suggestions are (1) to make learning more intensive especially until the fifth semester and in the eighth semester, (2) to advise them to meet OB/OG, (3) to pay considerable attention to students who want to work as sougou-shoku.
