社会的なものの系譜と統治性・序論

Abstract

フランスの社会学者ドンズロ（Donzelot 1982）によると、社会的なものは統治のテクノロジーとして発明されたという。とすれば、統治性の水準で社会学の歴史を記述することができるはずである。本稿はそうした試みに着くためのきわめてラフなスケッチである。統治性はフーコーの中期の概念であるが、奇妙なことに社会的なものが発見され、社会学が誕生した時期についての統治性についてフーコーはほとんど触れていない。社会学が誕生したとされる19世紀がほとんど無視されているのである。したがって、フーコーの方法を社会的なものの水準に置き直して歴史をたどり直す必要がある。19世紀半ば、社会的なものは社会問題として認識され、社会主義思想と近い関係にあったが、やがてそれは近代社会に付きまとう問題として定式化される。20世紀になると、アメリカ社会学の隆盛とともに、様ざまな要素が挿入される。しかし、社会的なものの分厚い層は次第に見出しづらくなってくる。社会的なものが見失われていくのである。これが社会学にとって何を意味するのか、しっかり見定める必要があろう。 According to the French sociologist Donzelot (1982), the social was invented as a technology of governmentality. If so, we should be able to describe the history of sociology at the level of governmentality. This article is a very rough sketch to arrive at this attempt. Governmentality is a concept of Foucault's middle period, but strangely enough, when something social was discovered and sociology was born. Foucault makes little mention of the governmentality of the period. The 19th century, when sociology is said to have been born, was the birth. They are being ignored. Therefore, Foucault's method can be replaced at the level of the social and history, we need to start over. In the middle of the 19th century, the social were recognized as social problems, and they were closely related to socialist thought. However, it was eventually formulated as a problem that haunts modern society. In the 20th century, American sociologist with the rise of learning, various elements were inserted. However, the thick layer of the social gradually becoming difficult to find. The social is being lost. What does this mean for sociology? It will be necessary to grasp this situation.
