Abstract: The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between the reasons for truancy and the support of school social workers. Therefore, the reason and the contents of the support were classified from the case study of the school social worker practice activity, and the summary and the analysis were done. As an effective support for neglect families, school social workers conducted “cooperation with welfare” and provided formal services such as “joint conferences” with other occupations. In addition, as informal support, “service support” and “family interview” were carried out to the family. The effectiveness of school social worker support for children who belong to the “abuse group” among truancy children was clarified.
