京都女子大学の情報環境と全学共通情報教育に関する一考察

Abstract

20世紀末に始まった社会の情報化が進展し続けている。そのような社会の中で、大学では情報リテラシー教育に代表される全学共通の情報教育の内容や方法を変化させ続ける必要があった。また、情報教育の基盤となる大学の情報環境も、コンピュータやネットワーク等に関する要素技術の進化に対応しつつ安定稼働することを要求され続けてきた。京都女子大学では2000年に全学共通情報教育を開始して以来、カリキュラム変更を4年おきに実施し、全学情報環境の大規模な更新を2度行っている。その後2010年には一部のコンピュータ教室で設備更新を実施し、2011年度から全学共通情報教育カリキュラムを一部変更した。本稿では、この11年間の情報教育と情報環境の変遷を年代順に振り返ることでその問題点と成果を考察する。またこれらの考察を基礎に、今後の方向性についても展望したい。

The developments of information society keep making rapid progress since around the end of 20th century. The contents and method of university education for information literacy have been demanded to go on changing in this social situation. Ever since then the information systems at university have been deemed to play a fundamental role as the infrastructure for information and communication services in education while keeping up with the revolution in computer and network technologies. In the case of Kyoto Women's University, the university-wide information education has begun in 2000. The curricula for information education have been restructured every four years and the relevant information systems have been reconstructed twice amongst the first decade of the 2000s. In 2011, a part of the computer rooms has been renewed and the improved curricula for information literacy education have been applied. In this paper, we chronicle the alterations of our curricula and information systems so as to give contemplations with generic purposes for the related problems and the results thereupon. We also give a prospect for the future of information education in universities.
