Abstract: Instant foods, especially instant noodles are popular as lunch at university because of the convenience. However instant noodles do not contain enough nutrients at one feed. In this paper, university and high school students attitudes toward instant foods were studied. About 45% of students consumed instant foods more than once a week. While Ramen was most popular for both males and females, females consumed more Harusame noodle with low energy than males. Most students thought that instant foods are convenient, tasty, and low-price but high-calorie and unhealthful. When they ate instant foods, they felt tasty and contentment as positive feeling, but many students also felt bad for health, regret, and guilty as negative feeling. It will be needed to attempt to improve students dietary life.
