児童虐待者の自発的来談動機と虐待動機について : 虐待する母親のカウンセリングの一例を通して

Abstract

At present we almost cannot find any research and case reports on the child abuser's motivation of voluntary consultation and abuse. But this time we fortunately gained a case of counseling with a mother abusing her eldest and six-year-old daughter. Through this case we tried to study the mother's (the child abuser's) motivation of voluntary consultation and abuse. The results are as follows ; 1. The mother's (the child abuser's) motivation of voluntary consultation is due to her intrapsychic suffering from and distress for guilt feelings about abuse to her daughter. 2. The mother's (the child abuser's) motivation of abuse consists of three intrapsychic demensional motivations. They are as follows ; a. Real abuse motivation, which is due to a discrepancy between the idealized child image of her daughter who is always smiling and comfortable and the reality of a growing and developing child (her rebellious daughter) b. Conscious abuse motivation, which is due to some discrepancy between the idealized mother image of herself who is always smiling and tender and the reality of a mother who is angry with and violent to her daughter. c. Unconscious abuse motivation, which is due to her sexually traumatic experience of being raped by her cousin in six years old.
