建築を通じた国際コミュニティ支援事業に関する研究 : コロンビアにおける地域図書館の建設とデザイン

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss international cooperation project for communities in the historical townships through the building of community architecture In Columbia. The local library project in the country is the target of this paper. The Japanese Government and Colombian government have been working for the local library projects since 1999, and 116 local libraries projects were done by the projects. Then, we decided to carry out following researches; 1) The backgrounds of the International Cooperation project, 2) the design and construction process of the prototype library, 3) formal features and practice use of the libraries in three typical municipalities in terms of climate feature. As a result, design process and concept of the architecture, needs and practical use of the libraries and significance of the projects in the historic environment were understood. And a social significance of the project for creating common space was realized.
