抄録: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between experiences related to food in shokuiku (food and nutrition education) during childhood and the "power of the experiences". A questionnaire survey was completed by the guardians of 579 kindergartners. The experiences related to food among kindergarteners were most often family events and helping with housework rather than direct experiences with food (e.g., cultivation, harvesting, cooking). Factor analysis of the association between experiences related to food among kindergarteners and the "power of the experiences" revealed three factors: normative consciousness, relationship skills, and self-support. We found that kindergarteners help with housework, and a significant association was found with all three factors. In addition, we examined the relationship between four items of experiences related to food (oneself, other people, nature and sociability) and a sense of justice and morality. A significant association was found between family events and oneself. Helping with housework had a significant association with all of the items shown. We also investigated the parents' past experiences related to food. Parents' past experiences related to food and kindergarteners' experiences related to food were significantly associated. On the other hand, a difference of experiences related to food in the home was suggested. In addition, both the practice and the contents of shokuiku in the home provided by the parent (mother) was significantly associated with parents' past experiences.2016-12-19T15:00:00Z青年期女性における体格と食意識の関連性

抄録: This study aimed to contribute to the promotion of healthy lifestyle and improvement of low body mass index (BMI) in adolescent women. In this cross-sectional study, we conducted a questionnaire survey to assess the relationship between BMI and healthy lifestyle awareness among 421 female college students in 2015. The questionnaire asked basic questions on age, university department, grade, height, weight, sports activity, parttime employment, type of residence, rise time, bedtime, and sleeping hours and 50 questions on eating and living habits related to healthy lifestyle awareness. Factor analysis of the questionnaire responses identified seven factors for awareness: "self-control for eating out and ready-to-eat foods", "healthy eating", "food safety and hygiene", "self-motivation for exercise", "mealtime and table manners", "variety in food choices", and "weight control". There were significant relations between each factor score for awareness. We divided the samples into two groups: a lower BMI group (< 18.5 kg/m2) and a BMI control group (≥ 18.5 kg/m2). Factor scores for awareness of "weight control" in the lower BMI group were significantly lower than those in the control group and were related to two factors for awareness, "self-control for eating out and ready-to-eat foods" and "variety in food choices". In the BMI control group, factor scores for awareness of "weight control" were related to "self-control for eating out and ready-to-eat foods", "self-motivation for exercise", and "variety in food choices". In conclusion, our results suggest that members of the lower BMI group must improve awareness of weight control via improved food choices and self-control for eating out and ready-to-eat foods.2016-12-19T15:00:00Z女子大生に対する食育の重要性 : 「食を選択する力」と「和食」の観点より

抄録: In this study, we investigated the effective Shokuiku (food and nutrition education/promotion) from the point of view of "the capacity of choosing food" and "Washoku". A questionnaire survey conducted 596 female university students in November 2015. The past experience (cultivation of plants, helping for food preparation) of female students were related to current cooking frequency, skill and knowledge. The placement of the nutrition teacher was related to current cooking frequency. The practice the home economics skill that was taught in junior high school or high school was related to cooking skill. Recognition of the UNESCO registration of "Washoku" has a difference between the departments. The frequency of eating Washoku was related to the frequency of eating good balance diet and taking dashi. The results of KC-FCQ (Food Choice Questionnaire) have the difference in department, residential style and eating habits. The students in S department had an emphasis on health and nature-oriented. Students living alone or in the dormitory had an emphasis on simplicity and economy. Female students who have desirable diet habit had an emphasis on health and nature-oriented. Shokuiku can play an important role in the "the capacity of choosing food" to oneself and hand "Washoku" down to the next generation. Therefore, it is necessary to promote Shokuiku for female university students.2016-12-19T15:00:00Z中国都市部児童の食生活に関する実態調査

抄録: To clarify the dietary life of children in urban areas of China, we have conducted this research to investigate the daily habits, dietary awareness and dietary behavior of children in Guangzhou. A questionnaire was conducted among 814 parents of children at two public elementary schools in 2015. The dietary habits were related to the school year and gender of child. Students of lower grades showed better eating habits, better exercise, life rhythm regularly. However, the percentage of upper grade students was higher than lower grade, and girls showed a higher rate comparing to the boys in terms of good dietary awareness and behavior. Regular living routines , good bowel habits and exercise were related to a higher rate of good eating habits, such as eating breakfast everyday, low frequency of soft drinks and lower-fast food consumption. Chinese children showed a higher percentage of "eating alone" comparing to Japanese children. Furthermore, the rate of the children who eat breakfast or dinner alone have good dietary awareness and dietary behavior lower than the children who eat breakfast or dinner with family. The children who have higher frequency of mealtime conversation, higher frequency of talking about event food also have good dietary awareness and dietary behavior. The findings of this study provide details about actual dietary life conditions of children. In order to develop desirable dietary habits, good dietary awareness and behavior of the children, it is necessary to promote Shokuiku (food and nutrition education) in China.2016-12-19T15:00:00Z
